nope, other than its at a dealer almost daily, i think its either owned by the dealer owner, or one of the sales guys, there is no way that it would be for sale and have sat there this long, and not been picked up. it is truly worthy of a show room. my pics do not do it justice, that thing is clean clean clean, even underneath, no rust, nothing, its very very well taken care of, the interior is clean too! it looks to be all original too, not repainted or rebuilt, the top is for sure original, and that is the only part that i can find fault with, its a little faded, but hell for being almost 30 years old please its a beauty. i have stopped by and looked at it several time, in both of my rigs, and never once had someone come out to talk to me, i want to inquire about it, maybe next time i see it there i will inquire about it and the owner. it might be a few days/weeks though

ok so more info on that 87 that i posted.... i met the owner today, super nice guy, toyota enthusiast, has several toyotas, and has always wanted one of these sense he was like 16. heres what i know from talking to him a little today.
its got 223k mi
fully rebuilt 22re, with w56 trans by the dealer
origonal paint, and top
2 owner, current owner is a sales manager at a local dearler
he would be interested in selling @ $10k, he has turned down $8 without even thinking about it
the only thing that does not work is the fuel gauge, its intermittent and the rear defrost
if i wasnt in the market for a 100 series LC id buy it right now, its that clean. he parks it in his garage all winter, never leaks a drop of oil.
is anyone is serious about buying this i could probably put you in touch with the owner.

There is an old man in Oregon City who has a turbo 4runner that is almost in the same condition. I'd love to talk to him someday but seems he is always passing me in the opposite direction.

....just out of curiosity, I'd be interested to see the unprocessed pics if you have a couple? ....or are the originals shot in HDR? It looks to be in great shape.

I've got a good one. I was going to do a 2RZ swap in my pickup, but I came across a guy and his kids working on this 4runner project. 2 years and never was able to crank it up. Even after a motor swap :wtf: I was able to deal with them on my XJ Beater. No shit I jumpered the pump, put gas in it and it fired right up. They did a real good job only missing little stuff.
Now the mission is to swap my truck stuff onto this ride. My kid is growing too fast for the pickup. We need more room. If Inchworm makes me an Adapter for A340 to a 21 spline transfer case I'll be in good shape. I ordered the Sky Offroad chevy shackle thingie too. I'll thread it soon.

Which A340? There's an F with a separate transfer case that you get in trucks with the 22RE, the adapter will run you $600 plus or minus from Inchworm, because they're the only ones that make it. The H transmission that comes behind the 3.0 has an integrated case, I don't think you can swap a gear drive case onto that one.

That's the A340f, you should be good.
Is there a bellhousing to mate an auto trans to the 3RZ? I know the W series manuals work, I hadn't heard that about the autos.

All I know is people do the 2rz swap with the a340f. Around here they're easier to find used and have less abuse than a 3rz.
