It was a Tundra with the 5.7 that came and rescued me and my junk, it pulled the '86 on a 2000 pound trailer over US6 with power to spare, and rode very smooth. I was impressed.

I have a 2010 Tundra with the 5.7. I have pulled my 4runner and other much heavier vehicles with it on heavy 18 and 20 foot trailers and it did great! The towing capacity on these trucks is 11,500 pounds, a 3000 pound 4runner and a trailer isn't even going to phase these Tundras.

How do you like those tires? Ive heard very mixed things about them?

I did as well, but the suspension under it was halfassed and kinda sucked. I like low, but not so low that I'm losing clearance.
As for the HMMV 37s, they'll be good for street use and light wheeling. They're so stiff that I don't think I'll be able to air them down enough to get a decent rock grip. That said, I'm going to get another set of 37s that will be strictly trail use.

Me too The good part about the TG springs is that they'll settle a bit and give me the stance I was looking for.

Interesting you should say that!!! Last night i decided to swap some manual hubs in. One of the auto ones seemed to blow up during disassembly, like it was on its way out.

They did work, til i took em out.

My 87

This is my 87, new here and new to 4runners so she isnt as pretty as some of yours. Changed the tires since as you can see and got some 34" Swampers, added front and rear lockers, changed gearing to 4.88, and did a 3" body lift, custom made bumpers, added some lights and a wench up front, and added some flairs. Still working on it.

But she gets used
