Merry Christmas!

My poor runner had the front flange nut back off, which sent half the front driveline flying away, and had her cough out all the gear oil in the transfer case.

I'm over square drivelines. Circular, please.

why is your front driveshaft square?

Some people decide to quickly build a tough square driveline for five bucks, with unlimited slip, instead of going custom. I was one of those people. The downsides are the very annoying vibrations they give when they're going anything more than 15mph. Mine caused the flange nut to back off and let half the driveline fall off.

I like my driveline staying on, and I like going 40mph in 4hi. So now I want a circular normal ass one, lulz

Driveline "slip" is how much in-and-out it can do before it falls out of itself. The stock ones don't have much; they didn't need much. Built rigs have a lot of suspension travel and require more.

This has nothing to do with axle shafts. Talking about driveshafts / drivelines, going from the differential to the transfer case.

edited my post...i honestly meant driveshaft...

i see now, about the driveshaft being able to "lengthen" or "shorten" depending on suspension travel...got it :D
