Took the top off the runner for the first time! No rust, no suprises! Was a bit heavy for one person but I just balanced it on my head and walked it back and off.

I am going to have to invest in a bikini top soon however..

I took mine off by myself once, it wasn't pretty and was quite embarrassing. Let's just say that any time after that it has been a two person job.

My new 88 4runner

Hey everyone, I am new to this forum, and I just picked up a 88 4runner, v6, 3.0 EFI, 190k miles. I love this thing so much. I have done a little work fixing bulbs and burnt out fuses and minor stuff, but I am looking for advice or suggestions on how to make this thing look better or run better. Thanks for lookin!

That looks pretty clean, nice find. Always start with the mechanics, make sure everythings running right then move on to ascetics but here's a couple pics of the roof rack I just installed






I attached rails right to the hard top to keep weight off the cutter mounts. so far i'm pretty happy with it. increases my storage capacity and I can now start working on my departure angle by moving my spare to the top

Here she is right before i bought her, 88. Got it tore apart in the garage to replace a head gasket right now.

I think it looks smokin' just like that. If you're planning on wheeling it, you'll want to take off those rockcatchers under the doors though.
