I go out every couple of weeks. Those pics were out by Lower Sycamore/The Rolls/Butcher Jones. This past weekend I was out in Florence, a bunch of us visited an open Amethyst mine right across the way from the remains of the Ajax mine, then we took Telegraph Line trail from there all the way to Superior.

This weekend I'm going snowboarding, but the following Saturday I'll be hitting the trails again - no solid plans on where yet, but definitely getting out there again while the weather is still perfect.

Picked this beauty up the other day. Snatched off CL in 15 hours

I'd like to put a subtle 2-3" suspension lift on it to keep it close to stock looking as I can while giving it a little more beef. No bigger than 31's.

Tons of opinions/posts about lifts. What can y'all recommend for me? Even point me to a good thread already out there.

Quality #1 then price #2. Not a fab guy... Looking to spend a few Saturday's with my son so nothing too radical. I could weld new shock mounts on. That's about as technical as I can handle.

Sounds like Old Man Emu (OME) is right up your alley. Gives you a little lift, while giving you better than new ride quality. I don't think the price is bad at all. Cheaper than a bracket lift. Plus it's all bolts on, no cutting and welding requires.

That is what I was going to recommend as well. I had the OME lift on my 4Runner when I first got it and it was perfect. the ride quality was night & day. Paired with some nice tires and you'll be sitting pretty on the cheap and easy.

If you go up a few pictures you will see my '89, the black one, crossed up and flexed out. Thats OME 2" medium duty leafs in the rear and stock relaxed torsions in the front. It was an immediate difference in on and off road ride quality!

Here is my daily driver with a 1.5" ball joint spacers in the front and a 2" add a leaf in the rear. I would advise a pair of 2" lift springs over the aal's for a better ride quality though. I'll got to 255/85/16 tire eventually, these are 265/70

It sure is! Holds up to 300lbs, was cheap as hell at the DRMO, comfortable for taking naps in! Fairly low profile and narrow so it doesn't hang up on trees.

I'd consider doing as mentioned previously... ball joint flip and rear leafs.

Mine has the ZUK mod in rear (value over quality lol, it was free) Literally a coil spring sandwiched between the leaf and bumpstop

Front is 5 turns up of the torsions (again value over quality, it was also free)

After and it doesn't even handle too badly, a little stiff at the rear, GREAT temporary setup. Top on or off, even loaded up, the thing stays at the same height.

And last this is with both the top on and 5 wheels and tires in the back, still pretty level if you ask me.

skullz14 - I really like the clear markers and tail lights - where did you score those? I saw some on ebay that look nice:
