Is the same rationale applying here? I see great pics of off-road locations, yet no "where this is" info is included.

Hey everyone, here's a pic of my new ride. 1987 Black w/ Red interior. Just found on craigslist in SC, 300k miles but completely rust free.

Been in love with old Toyota's ever since seeing the infamous Top Gear Killing a Toyota episode. Was going to get a Tacoma but after stumbling across the awesomeness that is the 1st gen runner I had to have one.

Pick it up in 2 weeks and drive it home to NJ! Already have some Procomp wheels with 31" BFG A/T's on order that should be there waiting for me. Probably going to add a 2in lift in the not too distant future and do a mild restoration on the interior but it doesn't need much.

It looks good! It is in good shape. Even if you are painting soon (or if not) I would get some paint on that replacement fender quickly, as primer is porous and makes the metal rust fast. Even if you just use a flat black paint. Get something on it. That missing bumper end can be had for a couple dollars on rockauto. You can pop off the plastic panel by the wire harness for the hard top, and push it down into the rear fender to hide and protect it.

Very good shape! You said you were in NJ? You should consider buying a gallon of POR15 and a few paint brushes and paint the entire underbody and chassis as best as you can to save it from road salt.

ive got a first gen too not real great but solid and under a rebuild at the moment
