1st gen of yours is my favorite just for nostalgia.

that i picked up in february didn't pass inspection. not a big deal, it has plenty of parts for what i paid.

this happened yesterday:

another '87 sr5, 22re, 5-speed. this one has a moon roof, cruise, and uncommon factory chrome wheels. grey interior, manual windows (a plus), re-arched rear springs, auto hubs (not a plus). 239k miles. from what i've inspected, it appears to be almost entirely original. not a beater like the '88, and very much on par with my red '87 daily driver.

I love those chrome steel wheels. My dad had a set on his 1986 Xtra cab pick-up. The chrome holds up amazingly well.

they do hold up well. this runner has 239k miles, but the wheels are still excellent, not dull at all.

I love the look of your 4runner. How tall is your lift/tires? Any power issues with such big tires?

I'm about to do an OME lift and I'll probably go with 32's. My 22RE is pretty slow on my 31's I have now.

Thanks! [MENTION=279976]Fullfathom5[/MENTION] I have a 3" lift with 33" tires. I did have power issues before I regeared, but 4.88s fixed that. Cruises at 65 no problem now. But it takes a while to get to 65:lmao:

Finally got to see a little bit of flex. Front flexes good, though I need to move the axle forward. The rear is a bit short, think I need longer shocks.
