2/1 Cornfed Installed...Yippee!!

Finally got my lift installed this weekend. I took some B4 & After pics. Hope you find it helpful. I haven't figured out yet how to post multiple pics under one thread...I'll work on that.

I'm very happy with it. It's nothing extreme...really this is how it should look from the factory. No change in ride, just sits up a bit higher. Cornering feels the same, maybe a bit stiffer which is OK. Rear feels a bit tigher over speed bumps, but otherwise, no notable change. A friend at a tire shop installed it. Took him about 3 hours...mostly on the front. They charged me $250 with the alignment.

Just as described...added about 2" in front & 1" in back. Might still be a slight rake, but looks much better.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for all the good threads. I'd probably never done this without the good input from this forum!!

Tires are definately my next item. Probably Revo's or Goodyear SA's. I was also impressed with the Firestone review on tirerack.com. They are also less $$.

nice pics.

on a flat surface there is still a slight rake, at least on mine there is. i will wait for the ashes to go away from all the fires in socal and wash the truck before taking some pics of mine.

Shoe a nice level ground pic on the street , hard to tell what she looks like with the shadows and parked in the driveway.

leaving town for a few days....I'll try to get a better pic posted next week. I've been very happy with the lift.

noob question...

What does "rake" mean?

I have 2007 T4R wit xreas...

I want to do a lift...

would you recommend Cornfed 2" lift and wheel spacers?

Anyone know what's the biggest tire I can fit where my spare tire goes?

Thanks

Rake is the nose down, tail high up look that the 4Runner has. IIRC, the spare might be a 265/70R17.

Have you had any issues with warranty work from the dealership since you installed the lift?

Dealerships don't care. Warranty cannot be voided simply because there is a modification done to the vehicle. The manufacturer has to prove that the modification caused the failure to deny warranty, i.e. broken CD player cannot be blamed on a lift; you have a supercharger and the transmission is slipping, then possibly. Magnusson Moss law.
