2 things for a New T4R modifier.

I have acquired my parents 2000 T4R SR5 4x4. Its a beauty of a vehicle. I do love it, just a few quick questions.


1. What does everyone think about the Rough Country 3" suspension lift kit? My runner has a bit of back sag, I've read that it is the coils. Would the lift kit solve this problem and give me that rough look i want? Link below

2. My stock audio just blew out, wat would be a good replacement, low budget still good package be?

Find a set of '99 tall coils and it will give it a factory lift over your '00. You can also fit some 265/75R16s that way and it will make it look taller. As far as audio, sky's the limit. There is so much out there. Rockford Fosgate, Pioneer, Kicker, JVC, etc etc.. Don't buy anything from walmart... it may say pioneer or sony but it's junk. Buy from a place like crutchfield.

I didn't realize they offered new rear springs with their kits. I think its a great price and perfectly good other than the front lift part of it. I bought the 3" front spacer "extensions" like this kit has, but after researching a decided they just weren't the safest option and I would probably wan't them gone soon after. Personally I would get front lift coils. You could always buy this kit and sell the front spacers and buy front lift coils. However its probably more cost effective just to get the OME lift kit. you could always go with skyjacker or rough country shocks if you want to save a little money. Just my opinion after going through the spacer route and backing out. Cost me more money in the long run

i'll tell you the same story i told to the last person who asked about rough country.

the shop that i work at won't sell rough country products because they don't back their warranty.

we had a J33p JK come in about a month ago. a weekend warrior more than a rock crawling type. both his rear shocks were blown and he had snapped the end of one of the coil springs. now i'm sure something could be said about his driving, but this is as i'm told... my boss called RC to inquire about replacing the coil and shocks as they only had about 20k miles on them. No dice. they wanted nothing of the conversation. we ended up replacing his rear coils shocks and track bar with Zone offroad products.

if you can't stand behind your product, i won't support it. read that first link AZToy posted. READ it again. and then again. then search people's build threads. then decide on how you're going to lift it.

I also like the second suggestion of selling the front coils for OME ones.

More for looks, but i do like to go camping. I am a photographer and want to get into nature/landscape photography. So i don't need a heavy duty super flexing lift. Just something to give me more ground clearance.

Ok. I would never recommend a spacer lift, but for your use and if you have a limit on your budget, then go that route. So, do what you can for your budget. But don't use the one you found. Go to the Toytec link I gave you. They have all types of lifts there and have a great reputation with us.

I saw that OME lift that you were referring too. I really dig it. Aztoy, if i do a spacer lift then coil lift would that work as well?

I don't remember referring to the OME lift. Toytec has multiple combinations of lifts. What do you mean a spacer then a coil lift? Do you mean do a spacer for now and do a coil lift later when you can afford it? If so, like I said before, I would never recommend a spacer lift, but if that is your budget than get it or save up for coil lift.

Just got a pioneer fh-x700bt from crutchfield. Double din but its not touch screen. Bluetooth ready and it was only $149.99 with free shipping. Ordered it Wednesday and got here Thursday. They also give you everything to install it free. Not a bad deal.

I put my coilover/coil lift together for about $400 Said and done. Craigslist helps a lot. If you can piece one together for around that its well worth the extra 200 or so over a spacer lift. I see lightly used ome kits and such go for 300 on Craigslist, but I dont know the market in your area either

[MENTION=72089]MrGoldenArches[/MENTION] I just had the pioneer HU installed. I posted a pic in the what did you do to your 3rd gen thread if you want to look at it. Also since there is a factory amp, to bypass it I had to get a different harness for it that cost $20.
