2 years later I've finally installed my lift

So, after 2 years of new shocks and springs sitting in my shop I've finally had time to get them installed.

OME 880 on Tundra Bilstein 5100s 2nd notch and new 99 talls with 1.5" Daystar polymer spacer in rear with Bilstein 5100s.

I'll get measurements later but I got about 2.5" of lift in the rear and about 1.75" in the front. I wanted a little bit of rake, but I may have too much for my preference. I may put the fronts on the 3rd perch.....we will see. The back may settle a bit on those polymer spacers.

The ride is improved. Not stiffer at all and much smoother/less harsh on the terrible Louisiana roads and interstates. It is mild so I don't really notice any significant body roll. This replaced stock 01 suspension that was probably worn out.
Debating on removing the steps, and new AT tires will be mounted within the next few months.

Opinions?? Top photo is after lift. Bottom photo is pre-lift.

I say remove the running boards. Makes a big difference, in my opinion, look wise anyways. Just get some rock sliders :thumb3:

Looks good man. I think trucks should have some rake to them. This way, when you load it up for camping or hauling some stuff, you wont have reverse rake. Plus, springs will settle a bit anyway. It takes a little while, but even 861's settle a bit. I am glad you dig the way it feels.

I wouldn't touch the front. I do a fair amount of hauling stuff in the rear cargo and the rake helps level things out and keeps driving safe. I always cringe when I see trucks with 3"+ of lift with a load in the back and the front end is almost lifting off the ground because it had no positive rake to begin with.
