$200 oil changes for life

I bought his when I purchased my 4Runner at the end of June. Basically it is good for oil changes for the life of the vehicle, as long as I own it, every 3,000 miles.

I was wondering if this a nationwide deal through dealerships or is it just my dealer?

Sounds like a pretty good deal just don't let them hook you for other things while your there for your oil change.

Check the fine print on that one... Sounds like a good deal, but what grade of oil, what type of filter, does this include the lube of the chassis, and how many miles do they consider the life of the car. If you do the math, this sounds about average for synthetic... $2000 divided by 40 = $50 per change (assuming oil changes through 120k miles)

I get mine changed with M1 synthetic every 5k miles with the stock filter. Dealer charges me $54 per change but also offers discounts or coupons for other things in the area ($25 gift certificate for dinner at a restaurant, $10 gift certificate to the donut shop), so my net amount is never over $50.

It is the stock Toyota filters and oil they use on every other Toyota they service. The change includes lubing also. Basically everything that is done in the basic oil change intervals. Life means life, no fine print, as long as I own it, they change it. They know most people don't keep their cars over 5 years so that is what they bank on.

BTW it's $200 not $2000.

sorry about that... misread the numbers (I needed that second cup of coffee).. For $200, that is a great deal!! $5 per oil change is a steal!

That's OK. I thought it was a great deal also.

The one question I have is the dealer recommends oil changes every 3000 miles for the area where I live. The manual recommends services at 5000 miles. Are my oil change intervals going to match up with the major service intervals?
