This one looks like they completely made that back wall from scratch. The black one actually used the rear hatch to give it more of a factory feel. I think the back power window even works. But...even so, its definately something you don't see every day.

There are pictures of Kyle's bed area somewhere but I can't remember where I saw them. I believe you're right about it being completely fabricated.

I'd like to see the inside of bed area of the one you're looking at as well. I think that would be what'd make or break it for me personally. I like what he did with reusing the OEM rack

edit - is that one of the bullet holes in the last pic you posted about the hatch release?

Yeah, the OEM rack and using the hatch to make it look factory is what caught my attention at first sight. I'll take pictures from inside and out of the fabrication. It may be useful for anyone who's thinking about doing the same. Im not sure about the hole, or even if it is a hole. Tomorrow will answer all our questions.

Now, I think it's safe to say [MENTION=12759]kylebacc[/MENTION]'s is one of a kind... V8, chopped, and TRD S/C. I like his lights in the mirror, too.

Yeah, I'd take that one for sure. I think I may end up going with this red one and doing some upgrading myself. Its a 2002 4x4 sr5 sport with 96k mikes no accidents.

The silver one us a 2000 limited with the leather and bigger tires, but it has a little hint of rust in places. This red one has zero rust.

Sand down the rust, and paint it. I honestly love third gens, because there's so much to do to them.

Holy crap someone has done it again! Thanks for all the nice comments by the way, guys/gals. It's REALLY cool to see someone else trying out things like this. When my truck was being built, we were really looking to have the factory back window, but it was just too big for the design. I'm sorta jealous of this guy's, lol. Thanks for the mention, Matt. I didn't even know we could do that!

I've owned a 2nd, 3rd and now 4th gen.

1990 2nd gen: 215,000 miles before selling it to a friend how then put another 200k miles on it. The 3.slow engine was a dog, especially with all the towing I do, but the car gave me very little trouble.

2000 3rd gen: sold to a co-worker at 152,000 miles in showroom condition so I could buy the 4th gen. More powerful with it's 3.6L than the 2nd gen but still tough towing heavy loads.

2008 4th gen: 90,000 miles, 1 set of tires, 1 set of spark plugs (about 800 miles ago). More refined than my 3rd gen and the 4.0 kicks the 3.6 's butt and tow's well.

Guess you didn't know your 3rd gen too well. It is the 3.4L...
