As for new updates. Rig just threw it's first Check Engine Light.
Also for whatever Toyotas reasonings are; it also gave me TRAC OFF and VSC TRAC lights too.
So it gave me a reason to finally buy my bluetooth BlueDriver Reader!
Sidebar; love this thing already. Definitely happy with it - specially for the ~$100 price tag. Not bad for a home-garage.
Sure enough - P1135 code. Which tells me O2 Sensors need to be replaced.
Also drove around with the Live tracking on and I see 1 fuel trim bank totally flat-lined. :yuck:
Decided to order both sensors on Amazon (Denso) and they showed up a day or two and ~$160 later.

Took a test drive afterwards and NOW things look normal. Plus is drives way better now.
It's a good day.
And for funsies.. here she stands :yo:
So now I'm off to get the oil changed and fresh full tank of gas and I'll report back on the new fuel consumption rating after these new parts!

This shown here is just the BlueDriver app that the actual reader I bought suggested (same company). I haven't put any effort yet into researching what other better apps will probably work with the same reader. :yo: This one work sufficiently for the task at hand. hah.

Just about to hit 175k miles today; celebrated last weekend by installing some fresh suspension! :yo:
Front: Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks with OME 880 coils
Rear: Old Man Emu 60073 soft valved shocks with OME 906 coils
Also decided to get fresh Toyota LBJ's in there too since I'm changing around suspension geometry:

How she sits today at 174,995 on the odo:

Go on ToytecLifts.com (forum sponsor here [MENTION=44448]ToyTec Lifts[/MENTION]). They offer full kits for all price ranges (or you can piece things together like I did.)
I paid a shade under $800 for this combo setup shipped to my door (Shocks, Springs, and new bushings/washers for the Bilsteins).
New LBJ's of course were separate cost elsewhere.
I chose this setup over their Toytec/Bilstein kit because my rig is a 2WD and I didn't want a full 3" lift.. Wanted to try and sit around 2" (which I achieved with this setup).

Dude!!!! I seriously can't believe how perfect that looks on your 265s. I bet it rides silky smooth too. Great job man, I love the way you have your rig setup.

Thanks! I'm digging it too. I will go to 265/75/R16 when I get some extra funds.. get that overall extra inch of tire and still keep mostly the same ratios here. But for now, the standard option 265/70's do work well.
The ride is still stiff a little, so it's no cushy Caddy or anything.. but it definitely sinks into bumps and settles in more than the old Toyota stuff did. A lot less reverb floating in every dip and hard abrupt slam on bump stops. Hah. Overall I'm happy with it. Money well spent.

She's been struggling to start all week long.. so decided to go by PepBoys after work and get my battery tested. Results: she dead. :moping:
Dropped by Costco and picked up a fresh Interstate for ~$90. Can't beat that. And according to the stickers.. got a little over 5 years out of the last one. I'm fine with that.
She's back to starting up like a champ again. Diggin it.

With the fresh suspension, I discovered just how beat up my tie-rods were too. So got some fresh new Moog inner and outer's to install.
Got into it today and cranked it out by noon.

Got an alignment at Firestone after I finished these up and now she's rolling nicely! I love this vehicle.

Thanks! Yeah it's so nice driving now.. steering is tight, road conditions aren't as wild and crazy.. I can actually just enjoy the drive now, instead of dodging holes and wondering if every turn I make is going to be "the one" that my LBJs snap or not.. hahah! :yo:

Now that suspension/steering is all updated and I've done some road shakedown.. appears all good. Decided to clean her up and take some new photos at my local spot. :yo:
The ride is so much better than my old stock junk and I'm really enjoying driving her around again. I think the only other thing I would do with the way she stands now is possibly move up from 265/70 tires to 265/75 to gain that overall extra inch more rubber.
On top of that, now on to other things like fixing dents, maybe a new bumper or two, and some other misc painting/color matching.

Well, bittersweet day for me today. The rig officially sold today. New owner came and drove her home.
I loved the rig, it's been running great, feeling good, and looking nice as well.
But life is moving and I'm finding my way into a full size truck instead. :biggrin1:
