It's time to sell our 2006 V6 4x4 Sport Edition, 192k mi and counting since it's still a commuter for my wife. Stock other than a Kenwood Bluetooth head unit. We've owned it since December 2013, I believe we're the 2nd owner. I have all records going back to that time and will be happy to look up when/if a specific service was done. Build date is 8/05, there are no indications of head gasket issues.

I'll start with the bad:
First, it has frame rust. There are pics in the gallery, and I can provide the estimate I got from a local 4x4 shop (Off Road Innovations in Winchester, VA, which is an approved dealer for STC) to do a full repair/treatment with SafeTCap pieces and POR-15 (roughly $3300 in June 2024). From the pieces they recommend you can see which parts of the frame are the trouble spots, but it's all at the rear/corners and one smaller hole on the driver's side that they'd just patch weld. ORI felt the truck was salvageable if we wanted to put the money into it.
It also needs new struts, and likely control arms at the same time. ORI quoted another $3k for all of that associated work.
The ABS/stability/traction control lights are on. It had been throwing a code for the speed sensors which is when they first started lighting up, I replaced all of the speed sensors, the check engine light went away but the rest stayed on. No idea why, no additional codes are showing.
The gas gauge is funny. It usually holds steady but sometimes floats a bit, and I don't believe it's reflecting the actual fuel level. My reasoning there is that it will read, say, 1/4 tank, but when I fill up it only takes 10-12 gallons, which is obviously not 3/4 of the tank capacity. We've just been dealing with it since it's directionally correct and we just fill up more often, but wanted to be transparent.
I jumped the TPMS circuit because the sensor batteries are all dead and I didn't want to continue to look at the light. This system is currently inoperable.
Now the good:
It runs great. We just did a round trip from DC to the Outer Banks with zero issues, including plenty of beach driving (we stay in the 4x4 area. This may or may not have something to do with the frame rust.) No other mechanical issues that I'm aware of.
Cosmetically, I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10. My wife hit a deer a couple of years ago on the front right (no panels were replaced, just some straightening), so we took the opportunity to replace both headlights with new (no more fighting the losing cloudy lens battle) and respray the hood and rear spoiler, which were both faded. We also fixed an unrelated dent in the tailgate from a garage door closing on it. I'd give the respray about a 5 out of 10, but at least those parts are now more on par with the rest of the paint. In the meantime, a branch fell on it and left small dents in the roof above the front passenger door and just below the window seal on that door. Again, pics at the link. Finally, a recent brush with a parking garage column left a scrape on the right rear corner of the bumper. It can likely mostly be polished off, I just haven't done so. Overall I think it looks pretty great considering the age and mileage.
The interior is in really good condition, again considering age. We've had multiple dogs since getting this truck so there's some hair in the cloth, but we mostly keep the back seats covered. In the pics you'll see that the rear seatback is still covered, but that's just because removing/reinstalling it is a PITA - the actual seats are in great shape under it. WeatherTech front/Toyota all-weather rear mats.
Other than what's noted above, everything works. All dash lights are operable, the sunroof slides/tilts, 4WD engages without issue.
All of that considered, I'm not even really sure what's fair to ask for this truck. There's a lot that's really solid, but the rust is obviously a big factor. KBB.com gave me a private party value of $6300 when I accounted for frame issues and the dents. So maybe start there?
