The stock deflector that is built in to the moonroof of my 2001 has these vents in it that produce a crap ton of air noise when driving. I can manually hold the deflector down by hand but that seems pretty stupid to have to do to eliminate the noise. Anyone know what if any purpose the stock deflector has on aerodynamics or mileage if I just remove it completely? Also when I open the moonroof I typically roll the back window down so drag isn't a concern. Was even thinking of just running a long piece of duct tape across the vent slats. Anyone else have this first world problem?!
