2001 Sport Edition 2wd 4runner value???

I've been thinking of buying my fiance a 4 runner. She likes mine and says she'd like to have one too. I'm not necessarily in the market right now but just wondered what the forum would say about this one in particular....I only looked at it because it had a hood scoop, lol. Maybe the guy will let me trade in just my hood for his hood

I circled and pointed to a few of the problems I saw with it in the pics below. It's a 2001 with 148k 2wd sport edition, leather seats, color matched flares, running boards, auto, 3.4l of course...you know the usual.

The problems I saw with it was no sticker for timing belt change, it had an aftermarket radiator with carquest belts and a carquest radiator hose leading me to believe there was a leak of some sorts. Also there was a very slight vibration after vehicle came to a complete stop...seems like my old 2wd 4runner did this too but cant remember. Any ideas on what that could have been? (the slight vibration i mean)

Basically the big question is how much would you say it's worth??

Not sure what value KBB, Edwards or NADA ect .... would assign.

However, IMO 2wd tend to remain on the market longer. Therefore, when sold are either traded or sell for considerably less than asking or book. Which should give you a great bargining edge.

Hypotheically, your better investment to retain resale value down the road, is having a 4Runner that is 4wd equipped.

One could argue higher mantainance, fuel cost and more moving expensive parts are reasons enough to consider 2wd.

I bought mine coming on a year ago. 2wd, but extremely clean and well maintained. 4wd wasn't necessary for me, i just needed a reliable vehicle since i am on the road a lot. 3.4, auto. Most people here will say I paid too much at 7900, but I was in a time crunch to buy and this was the best one I had come across. Would I do it differently? Yeah, I would have got 4wd for the price I paid but oh well. I would say yours is in the $6000-$6500 price range with the mileage.

Well, just to note. It's either not a sport or it's had some front end damage. The front end would be color matched if it was.

After I thought about it later I don't think it's a sport.


Any ideas on that vibration I mentioned? Normal?
