What's up fellas. So a couple of days ago some SOB decided to help himself to my catalytic converter :dammit:. It is the rear one because I believe in 1999 toyota switched to that set up. I don't have the funds to buy one new from the dealer because as you all can imagine it's pretty pricey. I've been looking like crazy to find one on this forum but the only guy that was parting one out had the same issue. That one he had also had been cut out and a cheap after market welded on. I have a couple of questions that I hope you guys could help answer. Since I'm not super car savvy can I get away with a cheap after market one until I can find a OEM replacement? I read that I could have issues with my check engine light going that route. Based on my research will anything from a 99-02 runner fit my 2002? Also, do you fellas know if and what year Tacoma catalytic converters would fit on my runner? I did try junk yards first but they all said because of "legal" reasons they don't sell catalytic converters. Any input is appreciated fellas!
