My mechanic has told me my IAC valve needs replacing (stalling issue). Problem is, it seems from my web research that for some inexplicable reason the IAC valve on '02 T4Rs is not removable for cleaning/replacing. It is apparently integrated with the throttle bottle.
In other words, it's a whole new TB, which is $1400 from the dealer (maybe $8-900 elsewhere).
Is this true that the IAC valve is integrated into the TB on '02 T4Rs and can not be removed? Can anyone suggest an alternative?
I have a 2002 SR5 with ~146k mi.
