2003 rear spacer install help!

So I ordered these rear spacers off ebay which are supposed to provide 1.5" of lift as advertised on my 4th gen 4runner. When I received them, I measured the inside of where the spring sits to the edge of where the spacer meets the frame and it measured just under 3".

In my mind, the rear spacers provide a 1:1 ratio lift. So I e-mailed the seller and this is what I got back:

No they are the correct ones they preload the springs and only give 1.5 inches of lift.

With that information, is he telling me not to reinstall the bump stops?! That doesn't make any sense. All the rear spacer installs that I've seen including the Daystar installs, they reuse the factory bump stops.

If I install these, am I going to end up almost +3" in the rear?!

The springs will sit down inside the groove. Looks like the usual 1.5" rear spacer. But can you post a Picture from further away?

Here's a better picture for reference. From the flat size to the lower part of where the spring sits is about 2 5/8".

Yeah, those will give you way more than 1.5" of lift

Just to clarify. Are you saying the groove is 2 5/8" deep?

Subtract the groove depth from the overall height, what is that measurement?

The picture above shows the groove. Groove depth is 0.2", over all height is 2.8". So over all height minus groove depth is ~2.6"

Ok. I just wanted to make sure I understood you properly. I 100% agree you got the wrong one/bad one. Most of the ones i have scene have a 1" deep groove to stabilize and hold the spring.

yeah that spacer doesnt seem like it 1.5" of lift, seem more like 2.8" as you mention, I would return them back and get a daystar rear 1.5" lift.
