2004 4runner HID Retrofit - Done wrong?

So I completed a HID retrofit on my 2004 4runner. The shroud I used doesn't touch the reflector housing. I feel like I am getting a lot of glare out of the lights.

Is this going to be a problem for me going forward or am I ok to drive around like this?

The cutoff line on those looks great. I would say if you want to cut down on the glare inside the housing, I would paint it matte black as the light wont reflect as much
