2003 still with factory battery
In Florida Batteries get crushed by the heat. With 75k on my '03 still has the original battery. I just chenged it this week, only because the damn thing is 7 years old! A couple times I wondered if I replaced it and just forgot, it's that old, but nope. It's a Panasonic!

Today is a sad day in the life of my Runner. I was out in the garage being bored and after a while I decided to start her up and back it in the garage so I could close the door. click.click.click.click.click.click.click. is all she had to say to me. My neighbor came back and jumped her and she woke right up.
So after 6-1/2 years, 92,000 miles, her battery died.

I was able to make it over to AutoZone and get a new one for about 92.00 and with 8yr warranty.

I'll throw mine in as well. 102K Miles on an 05 and still shows good with the OEM. I think I might be good till next year.
My turn...... I changed out my original Panasonic in my VERY early built '03 a few weeks ago after 152,000 miles. It went dead after using the radio for a while, and I recharged it, and it continued to work fine. I decided to change it out since I'm headed out on an extended trip to the Utah wilds.
Went with the Interstate MegaTron Plus 84 month.....

I am a BIG fan of AutoZone batteries.
Yeah me too. Probably would of replaced it with a dealer battery, but the battery did not cooperate with my plan of replacement.
Two months shy of 7 years, the battery in my 04 gave me the C.O.D. (Click Of Death) this morning, just shy of 76K miles.
Surprised it lasted this long in the desert heat.
But I sure am happy it did not happen during my fall vacation!

2006 SR5, 45300 miles. Running on OEM Panasonic battery... running HID Lows & Fogs, 0 gauge wires running 2 amps, 1 3000W and 1 250W and I can run my car on accessory playing music for hours on in and the battery wouldnt even struggle. I think these are great batteries!
My 4Runner's didn't last nearly that long, only about six years. My Infiniti though, it still had the original (I had to double-check the service tag) when I sold it at ten years old and about 106k miles. I'd never seen a car battery last that long before, not sure I ever will again. Most of mine seem to go between 5-7 years.
My 2004 SR5 will finally get a new battery today. Just shy of 6.5 years and just over 80K.
We drove it up to NC for Thanksgiving (typically in hot/humid NOLA weather), and heard the click-click-click-click for the first time ever after a 19 degree night.
Don't hate that I have to replace it, just that it's so close to all the holiday spending that has already happened!

Just last weekend I replaced the Panasonic battery in the 2003 Camry, 115k miles and nearly 7 years. Not bad.
LOL. Not sure what you mean by "record heat". I'm guessing 101 for a day or two? You should come to central Cali, 100 degree in summer is consider a cool day. 110 degree is hot. Now, we don't considering it breaking record until 114.
Because of the heat, Battery mfg actually rate the life expected of typical automotive battery used here in central Cali to be around 50 months. When you stop by a specialized battery shop and ask to see the published data for your area. Some shop do keep those around. Our local Walmart has a battery testing scanner that ask operator to enter zip code and final test result output does include the 50 months estimate.
