Specialist in the house I need or help.
I purchased a 2006 Toyota 4rynner last October and didn't have any issues until recently.
I woke up one day and tried starting d car and it refused to start. I tried till d battery went dead.
Since then my mechanic (who specializes in Japanese cars) has tried all he could.
We have even checked the timing, scanned with several OBD and even replaced the ECM.
The issues are
-The engine will crank but won't start.
-The fuel pump and fuel quality has been check and are OK
-The injectors are checked and are OK.
-The spark plugs sparks noemally.
-The Last OBD that was done shows everything OK (suspicious though).
- The new ECM didn't crank the engine but the old one did, does it mean my ECM is OK?
-Do I need to reprogram the new one to me Car?
-How do I program it and the Key.

Guys I need ur help here Plzzzzzzz.

3 Things you need to start an engine.

Fuel - You said the pump works and so do the injectors. But are they spraying when you are starting? Do you smell gas around the exhaust after a couple failed attempts?

Spark - There is a difference between functioning and actually firing when there suppose too. Most Mechanics can test this with a meter.

Compression - Very rarely this is the issue in modern engines. Do you have a V6 or V8. Headgasket Blown? You said the timing so all the valves should be opening at the right time. Do you hear any noises when starting. A loud pop, a rumble, or a hiss.

With all three you should at least get something. How many miles are we talking about?

check the crank position sensor
