I put a new battery in a few weeks ago, and today it died. Nothing when I cranked. Ive had battery issues for some time, so my hunch now is alternator or a short somewhere in the car.
Id like to check the alternator voltage, but all of the serpentine diagrams have it top right, by the battery. Its definitely not there. The only one that looks to be the alternator is almost middle engine behind the fan, but that makes no sense. Am i missing something here? Can anyone provide a diagram?
Also, whats the level of difficulty to replace this vs. what ill pay in a shop? Im pretty handy on cars, but not sure I want to commit to disassembling the fan, etc.
Any other advice on my battery issue would be great. Thanks!!
