2006 V6 Coolant Leak

Hey guys, got my truck back about a week and a half ago after having the head gaskets replaced. In the past couple days it has developed a leak from the back of the water inlet housing. It appears, when installing, that the house slides over the bolt studs and onto a hard coolant pipe that goes back into the top of the engine. It appears to be leaking from this location and ends up on the ground. What would be involved for repairing this? Is there an oring to replace?

This video, around 1:13, shows the part im talking about coming off. And the hard pipe to the block that remains. Thats where my leak is.

I'd take it back to the shop that did the work and have them fix it.

There is an o-ring that seats on the metal tube, with the thermostat housing sliding onto it during installation.

Just take it back to the shop as mentioned above, they should have no problem with fixing their error.

Thanks. Yeah I plan on calling him tomorrow. Just wanted an idea of what to tell him and i was curious myself. Seems kinda silly to put 2700 bucks into headgaskets and not replace a $1.75 o-ring. When i first got it back i kept getting small whiffs of coolant. Yesterday i did my front sway bar bushings and saw the coolant dripping down.

Thanks. That gives me a good idea of what is going on back there. Called his shop and of course he is out all week. Lol, just my luck. They are gonna take care of it for me.
