New to the site and I've been soaking up things on here like a sponge. Great posts about so many things that have helped me out so far! Really appreciate and it and glad I joined. Hope I can offer some feedback along the way.

Before I get flamed for starting a new post I'll say I've looked at PAGES of stickys about the above topic and haven't found anything specific to my inquiry about the set up below and a Gen 4 T4R. I read pages and pages about the topic on a Gen 5.

My goal is to duplicate the current TRD PRO set up and stance. I'm not heavy off roading but will be on lots of unimproved roads and trails in AZ and Cali to get to trailheads and hunting spots. Some minor rock creeping, dry washouts, ruts, washboard, mild hill climbs/decents....etc.

Currently adding 6112s to the front, 5160 to the rear of my 2008 Sport 4x4. No rear lift, just going to level the front and run 265/70/17 KO2s on the factory 17" wheel. Also adding diff drop and Total Chaos UCA. I'm ditching the XREAS.

Has anyone done this to a GEN 4?
Any feedback on the tire size? Too big/small? Rubbing?
Was going to run stock rear springs, what's the +/- to not adding a new rear spring?

Any other advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, there are people on here, that have simply installed new shocks and lifted the front to match the back. Are you installing spacers on the front coils, or replacing the coils themselves? As far as your tire size, I ran 265/70/17's on my stock suspension/height with no issues whatsoever. Let me ask you something: why are you upgrading to TC UCA's with such a modest lift?

Thanks Preacher35. I appreciate the input. Yes, it's getting new coils as well. I've seen some rigs in one of the threads that have similar set ups, just none with the Bilstein 6112/5160 package all the way around. As for your question about the UCAs....a few reasons. I haven't had anyone tell me nor have I read a reason not to. As in, nobody seems to regret it or advise against it. 2nd, they're in there doing the work so why not do that as well. I may do more later but just figured why not now.

Mke,

That setup will work great for you. You dont have to change out the rear springs - the 5160 was designed with the stock springs in mind and will improve the back end handling for sure.

Tire size is fine for a leveled truck. The UCA are a nice addition that will beef up the front suspension a bit and give you a bit more travel without risking a balljoint.

Mke I can chime in on tire size. im running 275/65/18 with minimal rubbing. mine is an 08' with the fj springs and toyec spacer up front to level it out. im in the market to go similar route as you, upgrading the suspension for more lift/better ride.
