2009 Toyota 4 Runner problems

I have two lights on my dashboard. One indicates I have not changed my oil. I changed the oil. I've done everything that the owner's manual says to do, and the light is still there.

Another light indicates my tire pressure is low. I ckecked all of the tires and they are properly inflated. Once again I looked at the owner's manual I did everthing, but the light is still there.

Please help me fix these problems. Thanks for your help!

1. I think the maintence light needs to be reset by the dealer, although I could be wrong on that.
2. make sure you check the spare tire, it will throw the light on the dash if the pressure is low also.

It doesn't require the dealer.

Either follow the instructions in the owner's manual to reset the MAINT light or do a search. The procedure has been posted many times and there is no need to post it again.

Don't forget about the spare. The spare is also monitored by the TPMS.

how did you check the tire pressure for proper inflation?

Get a gauge like one below:

The ones that are part of the air chuck at the gas station isn't very accurate.

Also, the TPMS light comes on at 26.5 or 27.5psi. I would recommend inflating the spare to 40-44psi. For every 10* F drop in temp, you'll lose 1psi. I run my other four tires at about 37psi cold, which will be high enough (to keep the TPMS light from coming on) when I'm in snow country.

i know how to check my own tire pressure. i was asking the dude who was talking about his light how he checked his inflation.
