2010 Lexus GX460 hits the web

A few quick notes:
1. Ground clearance is 8.1" (less than last year's GX470 which was 8.3")
2. Standard tires are smaller than Trail and SR5...265/60/18 = 31" (too bad)
3. Approach/departure angles are similar to the Limited/SR5 models (aka...dreadful angles)...however, it does have adjustable suspension as an option i think, which will probably improve these angles in HIGH mode
4. No rear locker (kinda expected since Lexus owners ain't off-roaders)
5. No Multi-terrain system (IMHO, this Lexus is where MT system would be most useful)
6. Where's the button to turn off side curtain airbags (aka RSCA OFF)???? (I guess Lexus does not want gray-haired old man pressing it.)
7. Bumpers are molded to the body...aka, gonna be hard to add aftermarket bumpers
8. HIDs...didn't Lexus say a few years ago that they will NEVER put HIDS on their SUVs for traffic safety reasons?? And here they are adding HIDS on their body-on-frame SUV! Oh well, it looks like someone has been BSing....
(Boy, it must really piss off Lexus LX570 owners that they did not get HIDs on their $85,000 SUV!)
I think that i would still get the Trail Edition 4runner if i had a choice....

I like it and I think I'm going to buy one. My only gripe/worry is the barn door style cargo door and the flip up rear window (though it's nice to see they added the window), can see pro's and cons for both styles of cargo door.
My other, minor, complaint is why the freakin' 4.6l Lexus V8 has to use Premium fuel when the Toyota 4.6l uses regular AND generates more HP... What the heck dudes!
The HID's are an option, not standard.
The 3rd row is worthless, I don't understand the love affair with 3rd rows seats in a vehicle of this size.
All in all, I like the interior and exterior looks for the most part... It screams for larger tires and I hope it can handle two sizes larger (Revos!) because I darn sure am not keeping the Dunflops it comes with.
Yet to figure out why Lexus didn't run with the 4R type rear door. The window is awesome as you just push a button on your fob and it rolls down, you can lower it to converse with people when hooking up a trailer, yanking a boat, etc, plus hanging lumber out the back. The door, when it's raining, the door keeps the cargo area dry and you can sit on the bumper. Though I can see where it would be easier to shut the "barn door" on the Lexus.
Nice looking, KDSS, ventilated A/C seats, V8 w/ 6sp= full of win.
I just have to get over the fact that I'm really attached to my 4thGen, she's my baby and we've had some great times.
ETA: The 460 is going to be 9% more expensive than the 470, that's quite a hike when you started in the $50k range. Hopefully they will deal.

First impressions, can't say I'm in love with it, but initial reaction is I do like it more than 5th upon first sight. The 5th is growing on me.
The dash looks to be mix of leather and hard plastics. Seems like there are way too many pieces that make up the dash and the steering wheel looks really busy, but the plus side is it appears to be heated.
Biggest disappointment, they still kept the barn door.
