Hi Mark,
I hate to say this (because I really loved the 4Runner) but I’m kind of glad the V8 (and rear air susp) was not offered in the 5th gen 4Runner. I was almost forced to get the GX (to stay with Toyota). The GX has turned out to be the best of all worlds for me. It has the perfect blend of function and luxury. It gets better mileage then my 4Runner did and yet rides smoother and quieter. At first I felt it had way too many features that would not be needed but now I love pretty much all of them. Stuff like heated wood steering wheel, power folding mirrors, cameras all-round. The one option that is truly amazing is the ML. It alone makes driving a pleasure. It has turned out to be the most amazing tow vehicle I have ever driven. Total comfort, ride control and mileage. On my last trip I got 16.8 mpg towing. All the high tech susp systems (KDSS, AVS and the auto leveling air springs) have allowed me to tow without any sway or WD systems.
Do you still have your Limited? We should hook up so you could take the GX for a spin!

Sounds like a plan! I actually drove by our Harolds meeting place today and thought back to the wonderful time we had. I was wondering who still has their 4Runners from the group 
Glad to hear you are enjoying your truck! I don't get such great mileage on the 07 GX with highway driving. I don't know what it is, but the new Lexus SUV's are beautiful. I absolutely love driving my parents RX around even though it is more car based.
I still have my 2005 Limited. After 88,000 miles, she is still going strong. I actually split my time between the 2007 GX and 4Runner now.

Lets put up a meet date and see what happens. It would be cool to meet the new gen T4R owners.
Bobby jumped ship and just bought a F150 this year.
I can get close to 22 mpg hwy (keeping it under 60 mph). Of course I normally much less because of my right foot problem. lol

I've gotten 21mpg on the highway before even though the sticker only claims 17 on the hwy :lookout:

For me to get over 20, I have to be locked up in 6th gear and the cruise set at 60. The motor is running at less then 2K rpm.
