Welcome to the world of white cars. While the camera flash makes the color difference between the bumper and the rest of the car really stand out, it's not as bad as it looks. This is not to say you cannot tell the difference when looking at the car in normal lighting. The paint used on bumpers has a flexing agent added to it and this changes the shade of the paint. I have yet to see a color that shows this difference worse than white does unfortunately.

Just picked up a white Trail premium yesterday. Flew out to SLC and drove it back to ABQ yesterday, 601 miles. My first 4runner coming from a full bolt on 135i. Drove like a dream!! Will get some pictures up once I was all the bugs off!

Traded in my wrangler for my trail. Ive been a jeep guy for the last 20 years( i guess i just like fixing things). Anyway i love the truck. Its smooth, quite but still rugged. I wish they didnt put the front license plate bracket on but what can you do. I cant wait to get it dirty

I looked at 2014 SR5 closely today, the rocker panels on the Trail and SR5 now look the same, only the LE has the larger lower rockers now.
Wondering if the new 2014 body covered fender flares are now all the same across the SR5, TE, and LE?
I also noticed on the SR5 (this one did not have mudguards) that there is a small black plastic trim piece behind the front wheel that aligns the rocker with the body covered flare so that they're flush. I wish I had taken a picture of it to show. Instead of cutting the existing larger rocker panels, wonder if the 2014 pieces could be an other option to get the thinner rocker look for a non TE 2010-13 4R?

'14 LE in Magnetic Grey
I just traded my 2013 Trail Edition in yesterday for my 2014 Limited. Yes, I loved my TE, but I never used it for it's purpose (off-roading). I have a Jeep Wrangler as well (as you can see) and use it when I hit the trails and on "top down days". Therefore, I chose to upgrade to a Limited edition and use it as my everyday car. This is my 3rd 4Runner and I can definitely say it is already my favorite. I LOVE IT. I am beyond ecstatic that Toyota is finally ditching the hideous orange lighting they have used for so long (one thing I HATED about my 2 previous 4Runners). Compared to my TE, my new LE is so quiet and rides so smooth. IMO, I think Toyota did a great job with this one! At first, I didn't think I liked them from pictures, but when I saw them in person I HAD to have one. Pictures don't do the new 4R's justice. I have an appt on Monday to get my windows tinted and I will post pictures after. Tuesday, I'm already off to break my 4Runner in quickly with a drive to from North Carolina to Los Angeles, CA where I currently live part-time. I'ma little nervous about that but I'm sure it'll be great. I'm really just hesitant about putting so many miles on my new ride!
