Just picked up a trail premium today... Not a huge fan of the jowls on the front bumper, but the rest of the amenities and the MGM color is helping me get over it:

Just saw a '13 limited at my dealer today. The 13 sticks out like a radio knob. The one in the OP's pics looks lots more flush with the console. Maybe just the angle of his photo shot then. They didn't have any 14's yet.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it, but the Canadian '13's have the same dial as the '14.

First 2014 at the delaership here.

The Predator front-end is going to take some time to get used to, but a white TE is pretty nice, especially with black leather/red stitching interior.

Now you have to give us some day shots :clap2:

'14 Limited w/ Window Tint

Sorry for the large image, but I said I would post another picture of my 4Runner when I got my windows done and here it is! There's not much to say about it, other than I'm very happy with it. By far my favorite car that I've ever owned and I haven't even had it for 5 days yet. :car:

I'm thinking about getting a 2014 and saw ad's for 2014 4runners on Craigslist from the fleet manager at Putnam. Did you guys use anybody specific from Putnam and how did you like that dealership compared to others in the Bay Area?

I've worked with a lot of car salesmen across the bay... In the last few years alone: toyota 101, Hayward toyota, Dublin toyota, magnussen toyota, San Leandro ford, Fremont ford, and only two of those left a good taste in my mouth, Fremont ford and Putnam toyota, San Leandro Hyundai and San Leandro Honda... And YMMV, of course... I worked with Darren Yu at Putnam and he was actually knowledgable about the car (not that he was going to teach me anything I hadn't read over months of research here and elsewhere), but that sort of quality is getting increasingly rare these days. He also didn't project as much of the "car salesman" vibe as I usually see (no offense to any salesmen). And during negotiations he didn't waste my time -- my favorite part. He knew that I knew what I wanted and worked it out quickly.

Prossibly? Not familiar with OE for prior years, but they're Bridgestone Dueller HT. Pretty pedestrian in appearance for a trail ed, if I may say so.

I worked with Ernest. He was relatively new with Toyotas and had just transferred over from a Ford dealership. It didn't bother me cause I knew what I was looking for and the fact they had a leather trail edition made my decision easy. He's a very polite, interesting guy who knows a little about everything so it was easy to strike conversations up. He also took his time and was very methodical, making sure all of our needs were met.. literally zero stress. The dealership overall had an old-time feeling to it, not the typical 'new car' dealership type place. I feel like this is how my grandfather used to buy cars. They even came out to take a photo of Ernest and I before I drove off.

That said, I got some good quotes from Toyota in Marin. Wether or not I could have gotten a better deal I don't know. If you're up in that area it might be worth checking out. I've never been to that dealer though so I can't speak for how they run their business. I know it can be hit or miss, and I usually don't endorse places like this, but we had a great experience. We'll likely be buying our next vehicle from Putnam.

Thanks for the information! I'm in the East Bay near Dublin Toyota have heard not so good things about them. With so many dealers in the Bay Area it's hard to find a reputable dealer. I will definitely check out Putnam and have seen a bunch of ads from that dealer. It seems like they have a lot of inventory.

That's great to here about Putnam!! This just confirms that Putnam will be at the top of my list to buy a 2014 4runner from. If you don't mind me asking, were you able to get your 4runner below MSRP? Also I was wondering as I kept seeing 2014 4runner ads on Craigslist from the Fleet guy at Putnam. Is there any benefits with working with a fleet manager?

So, funny story... I bought a 2010 SR5 a week ago (traded in a Jetta Tdi), and a week later my sister goes out and trades in her X3 in on a 2014 Limited.

Kind of crazy, considering she didn't really say anything about buying a 4runner until she was at the dealer. I was all like "you know I bought one last week, right??"

Here's hers since it'll fit nicely in this thread. The big chrome front is different... I kind of like it.
