The new Predator look is growing on me, i m kind of loving it over the old look now... i love the limited chrome but the sheer ruggedness of Trail wins me over.... i have seen all colors being posted on this post except for Barcelona Red which is kind of strange cuz that for me is the best color in the line up. Lets see if somebody has bought would like to share the beauty, lest i will have to buy in and drive in mine....:bluejump:

Is it just me, or does that new front end make the tires look really, really, really small?

its the same effect when you look at F250/F350, 2500/3500.

the tires are big enough but the body is so high it makes the tires look small due to the gap between the body and tire.

Had some service done on my truck so I decided to poke around the lot for a bit. No new '14 4Runners on hand but I did take a photo of an FJ which had the '14 4Runner Trail wheels.

I Saw your post, doesn't paint a good picture, i went to my local dealers they are not even aware that we have reds in 2014 4runners ...they said they haven't seen one yet. I have called in the vicinity of 500 miles nobody is carrying one..all they say is they can order one. To add to it seems Toyota has not launched Trail Premium in select states. I have check in Indiana,Illinois,Ohio, Kentucky no luck yet. :drama:

In my experience with the dealers not having a specific vehicle on lot is that they trade vehicles. Usually they ask for the same vehicle in return (but doesn't have to be same color). Example: Trail Premium for a Trail Premium. A price bump will come into play if the vehicle has to be shipped on a truck. (But this can be negotiated)

When I bought my G35, the exact model I wanted was in Louisiana (I'm in Texas) and had it trucked down here but was not charged a fee. When I bought my runner, the model I wanted was 3 hours away in another city. They said I can have it trucked down for 800 dollars or it can be driven down for no fee.

I opted for the no fee option. So a porter drove a 4runner to Houston (for trade) and drove my 4runner back to San Antonio. Received my runner with 267 miles on it as opposed to 5 miles.

well you could special order one, but the delay is not good.

I ordered mine on 9-25 and its suppose to hit port on 11-13 with another 2-3 weeks to rail then truck it here.

49 days just to build and get it to a US port. add in another 14-21 days and that will probably be your time frame to get one.

it just depends if you want to wait and get exactly what you want or gamble with the dealer and what they decide they want on the lot.

on the LE trim, the auto boards are an option and the rigid boards are an accessory.

on the SR5/TE trim, the rigid board are the only option.

As far as I know there are three kinds of running boards for 2014s.

There are automatic running boards which show up only on Limiteds.

There are "rigid running boards" for SR5s and Trails (option code KH, $345 MSRP).

And there are also "regular" running boards which I think are dealer-installed and which have the MSRP of $599.

outside of Gulf states toyota, the SR5/TE/LE regular running boards have black end caps.

those in the Gulf states get a different regular running board. these are different as the ends are angled w/o the black end caps.

I saw a new SR5 silver in town today. It looks like the trail. I'm gonna look up to see if they are available with the 3rd row seat. I like the fact that they made the exit angle higher at the rear. And they deleted the goofy plastic below the doors. More black too - including below the doors and at the bottom of the front end. These areas getting scratched up from 4WD on rough roads.

Sweet rides. Wish I could trade the 2011, but not gonna happen right now.

The photos of the diff boards were thought to be of aftermarket. So they are gulf boards?

Hey can you tell me what tires came on your trail from Toyota. Mine came with dunlops and they are useless? Has anyone else got a different tire from Toyota on the 2014 trail?
