Picked up my 2014 white SR5 about a month ago so I'm a bit late with the picture!!! Been snowing like crazy here the past little while so I had to wait to get a picture until she was clean again!!! Traded a 2010 Tacoma for this and am loving the switch. Already installed Cooper A/T3's as the stock tires just don't cut it in the snow!!! Looking to do hid's in the spring!!! Love this forum just as much as the Tacoma forums!!!

New to this site and just purchased my first Toyota after owning GM trucks. Bought a 2014 SR5 metallic gray this past weekend and I have only put a total of 58 miles so far and love it. Took it out Sunday after getting 5 inches of wet snow. Not impressed with the stock Dunlop tires. Blacking out the windows tomorrow. Will post before/after pics....

I am hooked on this site already.. Proud to be a Toyota owner!

We have tracked down 2 guys in the area willing to bring their trucks in. One Limited, which is said to be coming in tomorrow to start the design process on a front bumper.

That's what we're hoping. Unfortunately that was the hardest part of the last design.

Also, the Limited model that I saw had backup sensors....in the front bumper! So, we'll have to look at making accommodations for small changes like that as well.

Seeing these white 14s is making me like white for the first time in my life.
I've loathed white vehicles for years, but these beauties have won me over. White 4Rs rock! Not sure why Trails get a silver chin, and the SR5s a body-color one, but there's Toyota logic at work.

I finally got my 2014 T4R TE Premium last night. i had been waiting for it since September of 2013. little more roomy than my 2005 T4R Sport. love it..

Coming from a lifted TJ and a 1996 3rd gen 4R, she drives like a dream. I could not be happier.
Here's a question I am going to also put on a thread where I asked for advice on purchasing an extended warranty.....
We were quoted $1350 for a $0 deductable 7yr/75k mile Toyota warranty.....A good deal? OR NOT????

I never buy extended warranties. In most cases, you're just throwing money away for something that is never needed. At $1350, you're paying for a major repair in advance that you probably will never need. Nothing "major" happened with my '04 until nearly 170k -- nearly 100k after your extended warranty expires.

IMO, the silver accent helps complete the front end. It ties the headlights and other accents together to give a more cohesive appearance. Without the silver, the front end feels like its missing something.

Purchasing extended warranties is not throwing money away if you are looking for a piece of mind with an expensive purchase as buying a vehicle. I always buy an extended warranty with vehicles if I can afford it so that I am not regretting not 4 years down the road. I got bit one time not buying a warranty. It cost me $2100 to have my tranny rebuilt.

that's a bit high for that, for roughly 1425, you can get 8yr/125k zero.

there is a thread in the 4th/5th gen about getting ext warranties from jerry. do a search.

I gave my dealer a crack at matching it, but they couldn't so I will be going with jerry once I get my pro-rated refund from my last ext warranty, comes out to around 1k refund.

It's Insurance..... a roll of the dice. Some want it, some don't. You have to decide.

I typically never buy any kind of extended warranties - ever. But for reasons I cannot explain, for my 2010, I did. From info on this great forum, I got it for about half what the dealer originally wanted. When presented with the inet price, he asked for $50 over and I agreed. Negotiate before you buy the 4R if possible.

Money well spent! A few months ago, for brake problems, it way more than paid for itself.

Thank you NoDak and philsey for feedback. I will research further. Thanks for the reassurance that it was a bit much to pay for that warranty.
