received an email from XD today saying same thing, 50 in the first preorder batch and would ship out week of 8/12.
This is weird. I haven't received that email but ordered through PayPal.
For whatever reason, the PayPal order was linked to TheRetrofitSource even though I purchased them through xenondepot.com???
I have no idea if I even successfully purchased these but my credit card was definitely charged $1035.

Lol, I paid with PayPal and no response from them but my credit card sent an alert the charge went through.
Retrofit source bought or merged with Xenon depot. My last order was the same as yours, retrofit showed up on PayPal, it confused me but my lights showed up

Got an update from XD on the coupon code issue. If you ordered headlights on the pre order but did not get the discount that I sent you please PM me. I will get to PMs as quick as possible. I am currently traveling. Thank you for your patience.
Coupon codes do not work on pre orders on the site.

Weird. I ordered basically right after the first person on here pointed out that they were for sale, so I'm assuming I certainly got into the first 50 orders. And your discount code worked for me on the website. Shows up on my receipt and everything.

Sounds like some miscommunication. Glad the code worked for you.
I was given a code to share and was not told there was any limit. So I shared this with interested people.
Told today it doesn’t work with pre orders.
Some of you got it to work.
Maybe XD will chime in here to help resolve some concern.

I called XD and they said the first 50 were en route to them as we speak. If your order went through it's a good indication that you are one of the 50 as he confirmed that I was. He estimated they would ship within 2 weeks. The code from dot tom worked for me. Morimoto has said after these first 50 that the wait would be until fall. Hope everyone has them in the next couple weeks.

Ford- lights stay on, probably vehicle specific but poor r&d. towards the end of thread dudes be losing LED's some with multiple replacements and slow vendor service

Yikes. These are warrantied for 3 years, I believe.
I have never had luck with Morimoto products despite their fairly high reputation and marketing hype. I switched to Philips HIDs/bulbs a few years ago and won't go back to anything else.
I hope these Morimoto headlights work well for you guys. They do look great and help to modernize the front end a lot. I think 4Runner folks have less general tolerance for unreliability - I certainly do.
That sucks.
I'm usually one that doesn't like being the guinea pig, but the look and price of these was too perfect, relative to other options, so decided to take a risk for once.
It may bite me in the ass, especially getting one of the initial runs, but I suppose I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
I'll state this though, I'm not a loyalist and I have zero issues admitting when I'm wrong instead of doubling down on spending money on stupid shit. I'll be more than honest with my review on them once I've received and installed them.
If they suck ass, I'll be sure to let you all know.
With as basic-***** as Toyotas are relative to modern Fords and Dodges though, it's entirely possible we'll have zero issues (e.g. no automatic headlights), especially since hopefully Morimoto has learned lessons from older generations of other-brand versions.
