I was searching with no avail. Now i just need to find a set for a good deal. I'm thinking $400 for a set or better?

About to spring for some Goodyear Wrangler Authorities 265/70 17s on my stockers. It'll have to do until I can switch to some 5th Gen rims. It's either the 7-Spoke or 8 hole TE rims... Haven't completely decided yet. I guess it just depends on what I find.

400 for a set would be a good deal! But I'm sure if you keep an eye on the efjc forum someone will be willing to sell them for that.

Those 7 spoke wheels look pretty sharp for a OEM wheel.
Ya'll crack me up though, falling over each other to get a set of stock wheels when there are SO SO SO many aftermarket options.
The only reason I would opt for a OEM wheel that I thought looked great is if they were a good size (I.E. 8" wide) and $400/ set.
I worked in the wheel industry for 7 years, so I completely understand "to each their own" and all that. So I'm not dogging anyone's taste at all. I guess my point is that there are wheels already on the market that look so similar to these OEM ones that have better offsets, widths etc. :shrug:
Why go to such great ($$$) lengths to get the latest take off's that will be a dated design in a year?

Depending on what tire you plan on running, sometimes an OEM wheel is better suited ( like a 255 tire on a 7" wheel). I'll agree that there are better looking aftermarket wheels out there but not everyone wants to run a 8"-9" wide wheel ( which seems to be the norm these days). I wish wheel mfgs would make their wheels in a narrow version as well. I ran wide wheels and tires for years on various vehicles and I'm over it and never going back. At least the TRD guys had their head on straight and made the 4runner TRDP wheels 7" wide. Someday gonna pick up a set of those wheels. The 5th gen wheels have better offset than the 4th gen wheels though.

I picked up a set of these in perfect shape, with low miles for 500. I was looking for the FJ 8 hole wheels, but these will do.
Waiting for lift & tires before using them, so no pics.
I'm still partial to the charcoal 8 hole wheels if anyone in the area wanted these instead.

Thanks to this thread, I am beginning to regret putting the '10-'13 SR5 wheels on my '03. These new TE wheels are awesome. I think I like them better than the gunmetal Tundra/Sequoias that I couldn't find.
To those who bought these: Any chance they are a matching set of 5 on the 2014 TEs? My '10-'13 SR5 wheel came with a mismatched spare, so I'm picking up another one to match so I can do a 5-tire rotation. Unless the answer to that question is yes... then I might not even bother tracking down that single wheel. I'm assuming they can be found in a set of 5 since they're also an FJ wheel.

Was that a matching spare that you could put into rotation if you chose to, or was it a matching yellow spare? It looks like the FJ came with a complete set of 5, but the 4Runner Trail Edition was like the rest of the 5th gens and came with a yellow wheel as the spare. When I stop by my dealer this afternoon I'm going to look underneath a new TE to confirm that theory. If I decide to get these I guess I'll be checking the FJ forums... :fish2:
