Hey guys, I'm fixing a wrecked 2015 4 runner. I have replaced all the airbags with oem toyota bags. I have sent the airbag module out for repair. The guy at the body shop is wanting me to bring it to him tomorrow so he can start fixing front end. I know their will probably be a airbag light on. I just need to haul it to him so he can fix it. When I get it back I can put module back in. Will it be ok to start it and load it on trailer? I'm assuming the airbags can't go off since it has no module in it. Any help will greatly be appreciated Thanks

Not sure if this helps but I know the truck will run without the airbags attached. I have taken my passenger knee bag out to clean behind it. I may have also taken the module out not knowing what it was.

It took me about 30 minutes to work up the balls to unplug the airbag and when I did I still did it with one arm fully extended and hid behind the door of the truck on the outside.

Having said that, i do not think they will set off if you turn the truck on with the module out.
