Marsha get a Awning and Awning Room

I received my CVT 79 inch awing and awning room yesterday afternoon (5 days after it was shipped cross country), put it on my Gobi Stealth rack today and set it up this afternoon. It is definitely a two person job with such a large awning and with the weight of the awning room, but it is so well made!

I got the CVT awning and awning room for 20% off during a GROUP BUY on the Tacoma World website.

The awning went on in no time and CVT provided the brackets, nuts, bolts and a wrench! I had used ARB brackets before, but I thought I would try the stainless steel L brackets that came with the awning. It took me about 20 minutes to attach the brackets and awning and about 5 minutes to set up the awning. The room was a little trickier and it took me and my wife about 15 minutes and two tries to get it right.

To give you a reference on size. My 4Runner is a TRD Pro with 3 inches of lift and 285 BF Goodrich All Terrains. The awning is the perfect height. I did not install the floor, but did put a Beer Easy cot in it to see if it fit. I often camp with an old friend of mine who has trouble getting in to my RTT so I thought he could sleep in this on the cot.

Marshas camper - Fleetwood Neon - basecamp

So I picked up a Fleetwood Neon last Fall from a friend of mine. It will make the perfect basecamp for the travels that my wife and I do and the bonus is that it has a motorcycle rack on the front so I can bring my little TW200 to ride.

The Fleetwood Neon was only made for a year or two and is very light to tow. The low height of the camper when it is folded down allows for excellent viewing out the back window and because it is so light, I hardly know it is back there. It has a small heater and insulation to go in the windows to trap the heat. I would say it is the most basic of trailers with no table, stove or sink, but it has plenty of storage and easily sleeps three.

I know we are going to use this along with our Tepui Roof Top Tent and CVT Awning and Room a ton when we explore the logging roads of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Marsha is coming along nicely and has about 25,000 miles which is not bad for a 2015 TRD Pro.
