T4R.ORG-2016 Secret Santa
How to play the game:
Please PM me and [MENTION=98153]MStudt[/MENTION]with the below information (if the pm does not have all the information below you will not be added to the list):
- SECRET SANTA as the title of your pm.
- T4R Username
- First and Last name
- Mailing Address (FULL ADDRESS)
- Year of your 4Runner
- At least 3 things that interest you (ex. movies, books, car stuff, or anything else that you are interested in or like etc.) Might also want to include T-Shirt size etc.
****(if the pm does not have ALL the information below you will not be added to the list)****
Every participant will receive one other participants information and wish list, no participants will be matched together.
Requirements:
You must be willing to spend between $20-25 dollars minimum on your person. The maximum is up to you. This is all completely luck of the draw.
Everyone has until midnight of November 15th at 11pm EST to submit their information to be entered into the game. By the end of the day on November 20th-22nd you will receive a PM from myself containing your person's information. NOTE: This is an earlier deadline than last year to give members more time to order and ship gifts.
Exchange:
Please try to have your gifts mailed no later than December 17th so that your person will receive their gift(s) before or around Christmas day.That will give at least a week to get it shipped to them(If you are shipping out of the country do not wait until the last minute to ship it, we will have people from Canada and other parts of the world this year..
If you'd like, include your T4R username with the gift so that your receiver knows who to thank, but that is not a requirement.
*Make sure to NOT tell your person you are their S.S. during game play!*
NOW the other things to consider and I will put this out there because we have had some issues in the past.
Someother simple rules:
*Keep gifts PG-13 unless you know the recipient personally
*Absolutely NO WHINING!!!
*Asshattery and douche-baggery will not be tolerated.
*YOU must do the legwork once pm'd.
*Same as years past, there is no cap, you can be as generous as you wish but there is a $20 minimum for gifts including shipping. If you decide to go nuts and spend a ton of money, don't expect the same from your secret santa.
*We/I will do our best to make it fair and not have anyone in the same state get each other as gifters/giftees.
*Myself and or the mods here on T4R take no responsibility if someone flakes and does not send a gift. We will do our best to fix it, since we will have their names/addresses. NOW NOTE THIS!!!!!!, IF YOU STIFF SOMEONE THERE WILL BE A LIST OF SHAME THAT WILL BE PUBLIC AFTER THIS IS OVER, THAT'S ALL I'M GOING TO SAY ABOUT THAT. WE ARE ALL GROWN UPS SO ACT LIKE IT.WITH that being said, if you commit and something comes up that really puts you in a bind let me know, we will make sure your person is taken care of one way or another so there is no one left out this Christmas.
*As long as you're on the commit list with full name AND handle, you will send AND recieve a gift.
*It would be nice once Christmas comes around, to see what everyone got.If you want to put the name of the person who sent it to you that's cool if not then you can do that also. Up to you.
*If possible, keep proof of item being sent in case its lost/stolen in the mail. I know there was an issue of that last year (this will apply when sending) At the very least, we can prove that it was sent out.
*Once Nov 15th, 11pm EST is here, you can not back out of your commitment, to be fair unless you have contacted me as I have covered above and we will work that out.
*If you choose to send your gift in a box, it's your choice to wrap it or not.
Recommendation is to not send it in the box it came in, as to ruin the surprise.
Ok now that we have all that out of the way let's get this show on the road for everyone. I will be also doing a thread for this year Tilted My wish list 2016. You can write to your Santa and tell them you have been good this year and make your list. I think this will help some people out if you take the time to do it, now I know that we have some really good under cover stalkers in this group and the gifts they come up with are pretty darn cool so imagination is also a good thing.
I would really like to break the 300 mark this year. Lets see what we can make happen.
