2016 SR5 Stock running TRD wheels and 275/70 17?

Hi everyone,

I have a 2016 4Runner SR5 premium. I plan on buying the 17" TRD wheels and Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires. OEM tire size is 265/70/17 but i want to get a wider tire and get a 275/70/17.

Everything is stock on my car and i wonder if this tire size would create problems such as rubbing and the like. Thanks.

It shouldn’t rub as long as you are always going straight and never hit any bumps!

I'm on a stock 2015 SR5 Premium suspension. I recently upgraded to BFG KO2s in 275/70/17 on my TRD Pro wheels.

I'm not sure if it would have rubbed, but I did move the fender liner as a preventive measure. It took 15 minutes, if that.

Did the exact same thing on my 17 SR5, except running KO2s at 275/70/17. Had a slight rub on drivers side, at full lock turning wheel all the way to right, in reverse. Did the fender mod on that fender last weekend and no rubbing now. Fender mod took me 15 minutes.

I ran that same setup but of course mine being a Pro it already had the fender liner mod done when it hit the port so I am not sure whether or not it would have rubbed without it. That said, there weren't any issues in any scenario and I tried to make it rub. I put a 1.5" spacer up front a week later strictly for looks and more clearance off-road.
