2017 4runner (no 6th gen)

Toyota has never been big about any kind of forced induction in the US market, and after seeing horribly botched blower installs by Toyota dealers that can barely change oil I can't blame them.

Honestly, until we give up on all this global warming BS guilt trip nonsense, we will never see a real engine in a 4Runner again--hell we'll be lucky to have a BOF SUV again.

Not to mention all the CAFE/CARB requirements now. With all the manufacturers downsizing motors in favor of smaller displacement engines to increase MPGs I don't think we'll see a V8 again anytime soon either.

2018 will be the last model year for the current body on frame 4Runner. Get it while you can. I expect the 4runner to go Unibody for 2019. sucks.

You really think so? Much like the Tacoma that has dominated the light truck segment for almost a decade (look at all the major manufactures who droped out of this segment while Toyota made a killing), Toyota knows that they have something going with the 4Runner. The only true mid-size BOF SUV left is probably Jeep, and Toyota knows this. They won't let the 4Runner go the way of the Pathfinder or Explorer. They already have the unibody mid-size model in the Highlander.

If anything, I see future production moving from Japan to the US, and possibly moving away from the Prado platform. The 4Runner is only sold in the Americas anyways.

i'm a fan of the Cement color, but agree it'd look a lot better with the matte black fender and bumper trim from the 10-13 Trail Edition. same goes for the Quicksand and Inferno.

but c'mon Toyota, still no sunroof on the "Pro"? GTFO!

Agreed, they just look better with black fender flares, especially matte:

Part of me really wishes I had gone with the Cement color now that I see it, but at the same time it's also fairly boring. At least baby poop brown is being flushed next year.

Inferno > Quicksand > Cement

and Inferno is waves ahead of the other two color options.

also my lady brought up recently about quicksand "if you are stuck in the sand dunes how will someone find you?"

just my (and my lady's) 2 cents! :hippie:

My Pro color ranking is as follows:

White
Quicksand
Cement
Black
Metallic Grey
Inferno

Jury is out on Barcelona Red as I haven't actually seen it.

Interesting. A lot of people love the Inferno.

I would go with Super White > Cement > Quicksand > Inferno.

The Cement is the first color for me to think twice about super white.

Honestly, saw this on IG, and this would be a cool little upgrade, I assume it fits on a 4Runner as well.

I like the color but it's a bit much with all the sheet metal on the T4R. I think it would look much better with black bumpers and flares.

Cement would be very cool on a '10-'13 TE with the black flares, bumpers, door handles and side mirrors. :boxer:
