I would like to see some other colors offered. I just cannot shake the thought that the cement color reminds me of a gloss over primer gray.


Could be because I have had to driven a car or two in primer in my time.:lookout:

The 4Runner's only competition in the midsize BOF segment is the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and Nissan Xterra... so I'd say it's plenty competitive as is. Don't expect any significant changes in 2017.
A few new colors is all I'd realisticlly expect.

If you're looking for cutting edge interior refinement you should probably step away from Toyota... they're Typically last to market with the interior tech and most people consider that a good thing since these are typically the very systems which lower a manfacturers QDR reputation/score, something Toyota protects above all else.

Aftermarket is your friend my friend - my '05 is probably more high tech now then the future 6th gen will ever be

I agree, with the exception of the '15 Inferno, the colors have not been terribly exciting to me. I wish they'd bring back Pacific Blue (or any lighter shade of blue), I don't think they've offered it since '05. I think a 5th gen would look very nice in it.

There may, or may not, be clues to the next 4R in the facelifted Highlander shown today in NY. All 2017 HLs get a new 3.5-liter V6 and eight-speed automatic.

I actually saw the car in person this weekend and the color looked good on it. The tundra and Tacoma Trd pros had the same color

If only they would bring back a decent looking bumper/grill configuration. The early 5th gens looked great. This wide open mouth look has got to go....

I doubt the 4runner is going to take any design cues from a mid cycle refresh of the highlander.
