2017 Nissan Armada

Anyone see or have the new Nissan Armada? Love the looks of it, especially with those black rims. Not exactly in the same class as the 4runner, but a pretty nice car I think.

I believe it does, though don't quote me on that. Saw a video of it off-road and did very well. Loaded (Infiniti level) costs no more than $65k too, about $20k less than a LC if that means anything to you.

I haven't searched but the previous ones were IRS so I would imagine this is similar. Same with the Infiniti version

There's some guy with an Armada that's been posting over on the FJ Cruiser forums. He showed up in Ouray during the Summit back in July and went out on some of the pre-Summit runs. I don't think he fared particularly well in the Armada (and the runs they did prior to the Summit were easy trails.....as are most of the trails over there).

You can't expect the armada to do well. 6k pounds and all it has is VSC. No ground clearance and no articulation. The xterra is about the only thing that can run worth a damn

I wouldn't expect they would, the Sequoia's rear end is also IRS and it doesn't seem to have much flex in it.

On a side note it also seems to be weird when cutting rotors, we use a ProCut at work and we have to drop the driveshaft to the rear because it will have too much resistance even in neutral for the ProCut to turn. Even with the driveshaft out, there's a noticeable strain on the motor to turn the rotor that I don't see on the Tundras. Have no real explanation for it...

My buddy has a tricked out Armada for backcountry photography and this thing is a beast.... gets him anywhere.

I agree and the Xterra is gone from production. The Armada is 4 inches wider. I cant imagine that thing going on any trails without getting lots of rash.
