2018 TRD Pro colors

lzp8zpu.jpg
Will be nice to see one in person. I'm sure it will be a sharp looking truck. Seems like all the TRD PRO colors have their own personality. I haven't seen a Pro color that I wouldn't mind owning. Loved my Black 15 Pro but becoming really found of my new Cement one.

You guys are cracking me up! :bigok:

Cavalry (from French cavalerie, cf. cheval 'horse') or horsemen were soldiers or warriors who fought mounted on horseback.

Calvary, also Gagulta was, according to the Gospels, a site immediately outside Jerusalem's walls where Jesus was said to have been crucified.

The color was originally called Calvary Blue when it was on the FJ, now it seems they changed it to Cavalry blue.

2011 Toyota Calvary Blue paint

I think someone at Toyota screwed up and labeled it wrong to begin with all those years ago. Because cavalry seems more appropriate.

I'm aware. I work for a company named Cavalry...on the 19th Floor overlooking Fiddler's Green (I'm retired Army)...it's pretty much the perfect storm of symbolism.

If I had waited a few months I would have gotten a Cavalry Blue Pro also. I was in the Cavalry in the Army.

Glad I was able to get a 17 Cement, and didn't have to settle on the white. Just not a fan of the blue....sorry. Is it just me or does that shade of blue just not go good with a truck/SUV.

My #1 choice was Cement but only 70 rigs made it to Canada and I got my second choice which was Alpine White. Same here, not a fan of that Blue but let's see how it will look IRL.

was a fan of cement originally but just doesnt look as appealing as i thought it would be in person.

on the fence between cavalry blue or mag grey but want to see better pics of the blue hopefully soon

Man, this is a hard decision.

I have a '14 SR5P and I was super bummed when I couldn't get it in Shoreline Blue.

I really want to see one in person first but I know they will be hard to come by if I want...

Decisions....

You could do what I did, drop 5K to order one. I was told that if i don't like the color I'm not obligated to buy it. I'll get the white instead. Our local dealership already sold half of their blue allotment already. I wasn't going to be the only one without a chair when the music stops. The dealer also informed me that this is the last year for this gen 4runner. The 4 runner might be redesigned or simply go away. One or the other.

First of all, I don't believe the dealer knows at this point what their 2018 allotment will be. Second of all, they don't know shit as it relates to Toyota's plans for the 4Runner.

And, I'm buying a Cavalry Blue. Dealers don't know shit, other than the great con of how to take your money.

Before I bought my 2016 SR5P, I got into an argument with a salesman at a dealership where I was test driving because he insisted that the seats were real leather in the SR5. He got really upset when I pointed out that they weren't and literally started an argument with me. The same guy told me that the 2017 4runner would be a redesign and that it would be offered with a V8 and a diesel. Do your own research.

Correct. My friend is a GM at a Toyota dealer. They don't know shit. As far as he knows hey are finishing up production on 17s and has no way of ordering an 18 yet.

That is great

According to Dealer Daily, mine is built and waiting to leave Japan next week. Supposed to hit the port the week of Sept 5. I might have it before the end of the month.

This all seems pretty fast for a 2018 model year, that still isn't on Toyota website and no one has an official picture.

I told the dealer I don't want ANY port options. They didn't like it, but said they would try to delete them.

Thats great dude. I ordered the blue a month ago and was told that I will get mine early next year. Apparently things are slow here for Canada.

Anyone knows how slow was it for Canada in the previous years?

Thanks

2017 is the first year for the TRD Pro to be available in Canada. In my case it took about 6 months to get mine. I was 3rd on a waiting list at the dealership I got mine from.

Well the dealer did know the colors before it was on this thread or anywhere else. True, they probably don't know what's going to happen with the 4Runner. The one thing i do know is that Toyota is selling basically the same truck since 2010, with slight refreshes. It doesn't take a genius to figure out the design is dated and is either going to be redesigned or discontinued.

I contacted my dealer. They said they're allocated a black one. They'll see what they can do. I'll check with them at the end of the week.

Edit: now they said if they can work up terms, they are confident they can snag a Cavalry Blue.
