2020 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium

Who else is going to purchase a 2020 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium?

I am in San Diego and I am just waiting for the ability to get the sliding cargo deck with KDSS and the moonroof. Right now the cargo deck is only available without KDSS and the moonroof. :hurt:

Here is exactly what I am hoping to get.

• 2020 Super White 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium
• KDSS
• Moonroof
• Sliding Cargo Deck
• Matte Black TRD rims
• LED fog lights

What color and options are you guys considering and how is the availability in your area?

I dropped by a few Toyota lots down here just for the heck of it and there weren't any 2020s yet. Toyota of Pacific Beach had a 2019 Trd Pro with $13,000 in additional dealer markup. :mmph:



Having never purchased a 4Runner before, do you know if the dealers go a few grand back of MSRP for the TRD Off-Road Premiums?

My ORP should be arriving at port on the 30th...here in Iowa a few weeks later. Like I said in another thread, I went MGM, KDSS, moonroof, TRD Pro wheels and exhaust. I contemplated fogs, but figured there are other options that cost less. We opted for no sliding deck as we just couldn’t bring ourselves to love it.

I have my VIN and am pretty sure my dealer will work with me on final price, but will post that all up when things happen.

My dealer does have a TRD OR and a SR5P on the lot...$40 and $42 respectively and before any dealings...but also has a lot of 19s sitting there, too. I could see my wife wanting a 19 Limited w/3rd row if a deal can be had. :Cry:

The led fogs you can get at the parts counter for $100

I’d like a gray trd premium with no options. No moonroof. I would like the dual climate control, but I’m not getting a pro just for that.

I am going from 2019 TRD Pro to 2020 TRD-Off-Road. The TRD-OffRoad in Canada is same as the Premium edition in the US... but in 2020 they come equipped with DualZoneAutoClimate vs in the US they do not based on what i have read so far.

No, I haven’t had the sliding deck before. As a matter of fact of I have never had a 4Runner just a 2001 Sequoia.

Thanks for the heads up I will have to check out the sliding deck on the lot.

Two reasons I was thinking of getting one:
1. The ease of getting heavy stuff in and out
2. To level the back to be able to sleep in the back of the 4Runner.

We are in the same boat with auto dual AC control. I really want it but not enough to get a PRO for over MSRP and without KDSS.

Any experience or info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

First of all Durango? I love Durango! I am buying my 4Runner to move from San Diego to Colorado, most likely Fort Collins area.

If you don't mind me asking.... Did get under MSRP? And I know the Rims are $800, how much did they charge you for the KO2s?

Yes sir, moved here back in 94. I'll never leave. Fishing/Hunting/Hiking/Camping galore.

Just got done with a Elk Hunt... camp was less than an hour away @10,500 ft el. Can't beat it.

Fort Collins is a great place as well. You'll love it. Good luck with the move.

The rims are $860 from dealership.

I do expect them to offer below MSRP. I was going to get a 19' ORP but the house sale fell through and I wanted to wait till it sold before I bought. It was so close to the 20's coming out I decided to wait. They were going to take off about 8% or so from the MSRP on the 19. They said they'd be able to do about the same on this one. It's no haggle. I want to keep the business local and they've taken great care of me.

When I was a kid, we used to drive from Tucson every year to go fishing there. So beautiful. I miss it.

I personally like the dash and large knob setup without the Dual - Auto Climate setup. I would actually prefer that setup over dual climate if it were an option. I never quite understood auto climate on a car - it is a tiny space and I live in San Diego - so it is either AC on or off. Heat on or off. I have had dual climate and auto climate on my Mercedes for 10 years and have never used it once - LOL

Absolutely, monster pike up there, I mean pike as big as your leg. Also decent smallies. It's a gorgeous place man. A great way to spend some time.

Dealer notified me the following day. As I recall, he got the dealership allocation on September 7th, which I believe meant, 'here's what's on the shipment for you'. The vehicle was shipped on, or around September 8th. It look 11 or so days to reach Cali. And probably around that, to be inspected, and then placed on a truck to Colorado. The next update I receive will be when the vehicle leaves port on a truck, as at that point, I'll want to coordinate installation of tires/wheels with the accessory department.

I'll let you all know when that happens. Possibly this week I suppose.

And thanks, I am really looking forward to it. Been planning this rig ever since I totaled it on a Mule Deer in December of 2016. It'll be a sizable change from my TJ.

As far as I know, when I asked the dealership, they said they weren't going to mark up the ORP or other trims for that matter. And from what I have read so far, depending on where you go, you can and should always negotiate below MSRP. Now the question is, how many percent off the MSRP should we strive for the OTD (out the door) price? I hear 15% off MSRP is very good but what is it realistically?

I think getting 8-10% off MSRP on the first wave seems reasonable. That will get better as the 2019's sell out. I am hoping to see a spike in inventory here in Southern California by mid October, and we should have a better idea then how much lower off of the MSRP people are getting the ORPs.
