Is it just DRL again or do those LED bulbs have a high beam function as well?

I have read on this forum that the reflectors for the DRL were actually really good high beams. Owners are not impressed with the LED highs.

I still can’t believe no one has made an adapter or harness or something where we can utilize our halogen high beams WITH the Bi Led ones…

Curious if the LED DRL’s from Xenon Depot, combined with the pinout change (or tapping some wires over) would produce the desired effect.

Finally swapped '20 headlights for the '21
Been following this thread for months and finally swapped my '20 headlights for the '21 on my Nightshade. Also replaced the fog lights with the OEM LED. As others have said it really was as easy as swapping the connection. Took a friend and I about an hour to do and I couldn't be happier.

If your interested, Ill be putting mines up for sale as soon as I receive my morimoto. Coming off a 22 TRD Sport.
One thing to note is that all 22’s have LED high and low beams. These won’t work plug and play with pre-2020 and 2021 trd offroad and SR5 models.

Since I have a 17 - I need 2021 model year lights?
What else is needed for the swap? Anyone have part #’s handy?
You just need the lights from a TRD offroad or sr5 premium for 2021, unpin the connectors from the new ones and your old lights and swap them. It literally takes a couple of minutes for a complete swap per headlight. There’s a YouTube video out there to walk you through it.

Is there an easy way to visually identify OEM LED headlights that are low beam LED only versus low and high beam LED? Difference with the connector maybe? Like 2 wires versus 4 wires or something like that? I am looking to buy a used set but want to make sure I get low beam LED only.

Fwiw, I have the leds on my 2021 sr5 premium and am very happy with the light output.

The new 2021+ LED housings do not have the grey dust cap behind the low beam projector location.

I was referring to the LED only housings. Some are low beam only LED and others are low & high beam LED. I was wanting to know how to identify each.
ETA: I think I found the difference. Looks like low beam only LED housings have 2 terminals in the connector whereas low & high beam LED housings have 3 terminals.

Can someone identify which of the 3 Wires activates the high beam shudder in the Bi LED housings?
