Did an adjustment by measuring the center of the headlight and marking that on the garage. 25 ft from the garage and turned the low beams on and adjusted to those specs. Test drove it and seemed to be correct, didnt get flashed and when pulled up at lights its not the rear view mirror of other cars. I may adjust it little higher but not much

The DRL feature uses the high beam slightly dimmed. Normally this would not be a problem, but you say you're looking to match the color of your LED low beams. That kind of points towards a drop in 9005 LED bulbs.

That said, I can't recommend anything other than some of the "blue tinted" halogen bulbs and those are going to seriously diminish the light output. Do you really want to give up your distance lighting just to match the color of your low beams?

It's just the DRL. The high beams and low beams are LEDs on the TRD Pro and Limited models unlike the Chad SR5 and OR trims.

The 2021 Pro/Limiteds DRLs use halogen bulbs that are dimmed to half power by connecting the right and left bulbs in series. Each bulb gets about 6 volts and produces the yellowish low intensity glow that is desirable for the daylight DRL function. It makes the vehicle more noticeable to oncoming traffic than pure white, think amber “raptor” style lights. Any incandescent (halogen) bulb at half power will look yellow. Making them pure white would kind of defeat the purpose anyway.
The specs of the drop-in LED headlight specs that I’ve looked at show they are typically designed to operate over a range of 9-16 volts. They will not get the required voltage in a series configuration and will not even light, as others who have tried this have reported. And the typical drop-in LED headlight bulb cannot be powered by 12V and dimmed. Maybe someone makes a custom LED product that can be dimmed but I haven’t seen one.
So the short answer is no off the shelf halogen or LED will give you a dim white light for the DRLs.

I thought I read somewhere that someone tried the XD kit (the one with drivers that let the PWM work to dim for DRL on the older headlights) and they said that they light, but they blast at full brightness. I could be mis-remembering that though.

Looking at their website Xenon Depot claims to have Toyota OEM equivalent intensity for the DRL function. So if they really work that way they must have designed them purposefully to use the 4Runner PWM waveform, rectified it etc to use as a controlled constant current source for their LEDs. Looks like they spent the effort for a better design, better parts, and it costs more $$. The cheap stuff on Amazon and eBay don’t do this.
I think I read somewhere that it took them a few versions to get the DRL right, but some folks still detect a slight flicker. Maybe someone can chime in on their experiences.

I had the XD high beams (before I learned that drop-in LED bulbs suck and went back to H9/9011 halogen bulbs). Well, they suck less for high beams as the focal point is not as critical in an open-pattern reflector. Anyway, the PWM drivers worked great as DRLs. They had a slight pulse to them, I'd compare it to a fluorescent hum more than a flicker. I can't say how they work for a series/voltage drop setup on the 21+ Pro/Limited headlights.

XD specs them from 12-24 VDC. I wonder if anyone’s ever contacted them asking about this series application.
Have had the XD LED’s in my high beam / DRL location since they came out so maybe I’ve got V1. They’ve performed fine. The DRL flicker if you want to call it that is visible when I pull up close to the garage at night and stare at it, or if you stare at them from 2 feet away maybe but from any other distance unnoticeable. Wouldn’t go so far as to say the high beam illumination is better than halogen, but my eyes are good at night and I have Diode Dynamics LEDs in the low beams too with the Toyota LED fog lamps (Tundra?). All work well enough for me[emoji1362]

finally going to replace my 2020 headlights with the OEM 2021 Headlights. I also want to replace the fog lights while the number is off. Does anyone know the part number for OEM LEDs that will fit. I think they are plug and play and won't have to swap connectors like on the headlights.

Eh. Instead of OEM you might consider the SS3 by Diode Dynamics. Brighter and wider than any fog light on the market, and still SAE J583 compliant. The sport, pro, and max are the top 3 contenders on the fog light shootout thread.

As Tory said, the SS3 by DD are the top performers. But here’s some info on Toyota OEM LED fogs. The black version is PT413-42191. The chrome is PT413-42190.

Are the OEM LED fog lights supposed to only shine 10-20 feet in front of the vehicle? Or is my factory aim just way off?

Sounds right based on mine. Fogs are supposed to cut under the haze created by your headlights. I have yellow Lamin-x covers on mine and it very clearly shows up as filling in directly in front and extending out under the headlights.
If you aim them up, you just create more light that is creating reflections in front of you.
