20’s just look right

Funny how this happens. 20’S now look way better in my opinion than say 17’s. When did this suddenly happen? Off road the 17’s are the ticket with he high flexible side walls and the ability to air down on the knarley shizzle. The 20’s somehow look way better to me. And I wonder what percentage of 4Runners crawl. Hmmmm. YMMV

Personally, I really like the look of the Limited with 20’s. Performance wise, even on road, I prefer the 17’s. Depends where you place your values.

I love the look of the LE 20s from the side, not so much the narrow stance from the f/b.

I switched to Trail 17s for reasons mentioned above and I like that they are 7.5" wide. My only complaint is I was hoping to run .75" spacers but I don't think they will work with these wheels because the little holes spaced between the lug holes on the mounting pad are non-existent on these wheels so there will be nothing for the excess studs to go in to

Yup, the look of the 20s is great. But that only does me so much good since I can't see them when I'm driving. The ride is OK, but not great. My '04 LTD with 17s was much smoother.

They look totally out of place on a 4Runner in my opinion. However, the hideous bodywork on the Limiteds makes them look like bloated mini vans and not 4Runners anyway so I guess it works out.

I can go either way. I'm kinda partial to 20's visually, but 17's are better for offroad and generally nicer on road to help absorb small bumps. I'm a big fan of the LE 20" wheel style too, being dirt cheap doesn't hurt either. I kinda want to buy another set for my camper to match. The 20's work okay for mild trail duty, but for me they're mostly street tires.
