Hey guys.
I picked up an 87 SR5 Xtra cab with the 22RE from another forum member. Truck is in great shape and the motor runs well but I can't get it to idle. Hot or cold, unless I'm giving it gas constantly it dies.
Now I will admit my ignorance of early EFI technology. I've googled dying at idle and I haven't really found anything that answers what's going on.
It does have an exhaust leak but that shouldn't cause it to die.
This thing my father in law called the "idle up switch" is messed up, but he says that shouldn't be the cause.
Any experience something similar?
