Will 275/70/17 fit on a 1" lift?

I got a 02 and I'm planning to get the 99 coils or a 1" body lift or leveling kit but I want to put 275 on my rig. Does anyone know if it will fit? Also I'm planning to add some wheel spacers but not until later. Maybe some 1.25" or some 1" from online

Can anyone help or give me a heads up?

Thanks

Well first of all the first number deals with the width.... so a 275 is dealing with the width... . But that 70 there! More so what your looking at for your lifting

I have new BF Goodrich 275/70R17 after I installed OME 881 & 890 which gave me about 2.5" lift frt & 3" rear had no issue with rear, but front I had remove the front part of the fender flare, cut part of the wheel well splash shield , then hammer the pinch weld down because the tires would rub on left & rt turns. I have pics that I can send later

I have a 99 and I installed 265/70R17. This is a 31.6" Tire, while the 275 is a 32.2" tire. I do not rub anywhere and it is stock height. My 99 coils are sagging too. .6" means more than a 1/4" at the front and rear than what I have, which I think is getting close or will rub. Of course your mileage may vary.
My educated guess is it will rub very slightly on turns and suspension compression. Like hitting a driveway at full lock at 100mph, ok maybe at 20mph.

:noidea:

just installed 275/70/17 bfg ko2s with only a 1" BL. slight rubbing only on passenger side, on left turns, but very slight.

I was thinking of getting a 1" leveling kit and the same exact tires size... I'm wondering, are you rubbing when you're at a full left turn?? Also how about when you hit a elevated curb or bump

You don't necessarily need a lift to fit tires. I'm running 99 coils and my 34x10.50-16 tires don't rub at full bump front and rear because I did some minor trimming. I'm going to make a write up sometime in the near future about it.

minor rubbing at full lock turning left. Still really recent since I've installed them....I haven't noticed any rubbing when hitting curb/bumps, but I can only assume that if there's minor rubbing at full lock on flat pavement, then there should be similar minor rubbing over bumps.

FWIW it's only rubbing on a tiny section of plastic fender liner...so no heavy cutting/hacking is necessary to fix this, i just haven't gotten to it yet.

Any chance of you posting a pic of how much it's rubbing?? I'm about to buy the ko2 As soon as I figure this out

I have 285/75r16 (bigger than yours) and no rubbing.

What lift do you have? I looked at 285 but did want to risk rubbing as it is I had to make minor adjustments. Initially just had rubbing right side , rear splash shield rubbed making right turn or hitting trails. I had brought truck for alignment it had positive camber both tires, toe out left wheel anyhow after alignment caster was also changed then the left tired started to rub on turns. The front fender flare was touching now I wonder if shouldn't had gone 3" lift all around

Stock 99 coils and I found a spacer (maybe 1.25"-1.5"?) that the previous owner must have put on. Once I put the OME suspension in I am ditching that spacer if you want it. Just pay shipping and I will give them to you.

I have to laugh at myself because in high school my family owned a repair shop so I was able repair my cars at the time. I eventually ended up with a surplus M38A1 (CJ5) anyhow it was a POS spent countless hours working on the body then mechanicals took it off roading in the old tank farm in the middle of Guam rolled it & bashed the front end had to tow it back so spent countless hrs again to get it ready for another off road adventure. Anyhow after $$$$ and time my dad decided was time for me to get a normal car. So I converted it to a boonie basher trashed it and spent $$$ & time to make it a 4WD. So I grew up joined the army and thought I was past this stuff NOT!!! So here I am 53 yrs old and what is my hobby working on my new used 4 runner, thinking of ways to shoe horn a Paxton supercharger and retrofitting rear disc. So I come to believe it's an addiction
