27f vs. 27 Battery

I'm trying to get my battery replaced and they currently only have size 27 in stock, not the recommended 27f. To my knowledge, the only difference between the two is the location of the positive and negative terminals. Would it be ok to buy a 27 battery, or should I go with a 24f that they have in stock?

i unknowingly made this mistake this past year replacing my batter. the original cables will not reach the terminals on the 27. had to go to another store to find the 27f. it gets cold enough here that i wasn't messing with the smaller battery.
