285/70/17 and set of wheels

Greetings!

I would like to asked your input on a project that I'm currently brewing and still on the drawing board.

The objective of this project is to be able to replace my current tires (265/65/17) to 285/70/17 without wheel spacers. I have done some research :keyboard: and I have to replace my existing wheels with either 17x7.5 w/ 3.75BS and 12.7mm offset or 17x7.5 w/3.25BS and 25.4mm offset.

Will the tundra/sequoia wheels works on my project?

Current set-up:

Bilstein 5100 (2.5" lift - front, stock coil)
Bilstein 5100 - rear
OME 895 coil - rear

You don't need to replace your wheels to run that size. Lots of us run 285's on stock wheels. I know one member even is running 35's on his stock sport wheels. I have Duratrac's in 285's on my stock SR5 wheels and they work fine.

I do like the Tundra wheels on runners, I think they look sick...Crap, I just saw that you wanted to do it without spacers. Sorry, should read the post better!

thanks for the response, I did some more research :keyboard: and found from of the member that the FJC wheels will work. Now I just have to find funds for tires.

The question is: are the FJ wheels the same specs as the 5thGen Trail Edition wheels?

The FJC wheels is the same (17x7.5) with the exception of the offsite. The FJC will stick out further compared with the t4r stock wheels. Which is perfect for my project, I'll keep you posted for any update and this might take a few weeks or months.
